Apple Street Well Received at City Council, Wins EngageCincy Grant

On March 20th, Apple Street team members Mary Jo Minerich, Marilyn Evans, MiMi Chamberlin, and Christopher DeAngelis spoke to the City Council’s Neighborhoods Committee and asked for their support in closing the funding gap. They talked about the progress Apple Street has made towards opening, the need for a grocery store in their neighborhoods, and requested support from city government. Watch the presentation here starting at 1:10:00!

Apple Street Market was recently awarded the EngageCincy Challenge grant by the City of Cincinnati. This grant helps Apple Street Market cover some of the costs for providing supplemental shelf stable foods at the Northside Farmers Market, helping to round out what's available so people don't have to go to multiple places.
