WE DID IT!!!! After months of pressure and organizing, Cincinnati City Council voted unanimously to approve NEST'S (Northside's community development corporation's) funding to acquire 4145 Apple Street, which unlocks over $3 million dollars in additional funding. This means that construction on the worker and community-owned grocery store will be able to start early 2018. Thanks everyone for all of your calls and pressure – you all made this happen!
Now that NEST has secured real estate funding, it is time for us to raise the capital to be the tenant. Help us raise $20,000 towards our goal by the end of February before the construction process starts!
