There is currently no neighborhood in Cincinnati in which average rents are affordable to households living on $30,000 a year or less. Real estate reinvestment typically leads to gentrification displacing working class residents. Renting Partnerships is a participatory management system for affordable housing that directly combats this trend. However, one of the main hurdles for moving Renting Partnerships (RP) forward has been securing affordable housing in a sustainable way that enables smaller project-based redevelopment.
Excitingly, RP is offering a presentation to community groups dealing with the impacts of gentrification on working class residents. Our “dividend housing” strategy partners social investors with our nonprofit organization to save existing low cost housing and keep rents permanently affordable. We welcome the opportunity to make this presentation to local groups. To schedule a talk for your group, please call Maria at 513-476-0881.
