Our Harvest Launches Community-Owner Campaign, Completes Annual Report, Improves Farm & Food Hub

Our Harvest had a very busy July! They launched a Community-Owner Share drive and completed their  2016-2017 Annual Report! The farm team participated in the Northside Fourth of July parade and had their yearly co-op-wide retreat reinforce their intra-organization bonds. CEO, Kristin Gangwer, enhanced her personal and professional development for Our Harvest at the Sustainable Agriculture and Food System Funders Network Summit in Gainesville, FL.

Our Harvest also focused their efforts to enhance and grow their distribution arm. They completed construction on their new tomato cooler, which will drastically extend the shelf life of the thousands of pounds of tomatoes we grow (funded through a grant from Green Umbrella). They started a new Harvest Day food access distribution site on Mondays from 12:30-2 PM in the old Kroger parking lot in Walnut Hills and worked to increase participation in our Weekly Harvest Box Program (sign-up below)!
