In July, the Greater Dayton Union Co-op Initiative was thrilled to be the recipient of the Dayton Rotary Club's first ever Signature Grant. The $50,000 of the grant will be used in support of GDUCI's Gem City Market Cooperative organizing work. The Gem City Market development work continues to enjoy strong community support. At a recent community meeting, over 125 people participated in brainstorming around the Market's mission and vision. The GCM Board took the community's feedback and is currently working to craft a final mission statement. And finally, GDUCI is also excited to have a position available for a Project Manager.
